Davie Cooper

Arguably Scotland’s most gifted left sided player of the 1980s Davie Cooper became a hero to the Rangers support and later endeared himself to Motherwell fans when he moved to Fir Park in 1989. Davie won the Scottish League championship in 1978, 1987, 1989, the Scottish Cup in 1978, 1979, 1981, and 1991, and the Scottish League Cup in 1978, 1979,1982, 1984, 1985, 1986, and 1987. He was also a Scottish Cup finalist in 1980, 1982, and 1983, and a Scottish League Cup finalist in 1983. Cooper won 24 caps for Scotland and his dramatic penalty against Wales in 1985 took Scotland to the 1986 World Cup finals in Mexico.
