Willie Ormond

1927 — 84

A member of Hibernian’s legendary famous five forward line who later became a successful manager at international level with Scotland and at club level with St Johnstone, Hearts and Hibs. Ormond was a Scottish League Champion in 1948, 1951 and 1952, a Scottish Cup finalist in 1947 and 1958 and a Scottish League Cup finalist in 1951. He won six caps for Scotland and made ten appearances for the Scottish League. Skillful and fast, Ormand enjoyed a long playing career despite suffering three leg
breaks and a fractured arm.
