Loving Cup

This beautifully detailed Spode commemorative 'Loving Cup' was presented to the Scottish Football Association on the occasion of the Great Britain v Rest of Europe match at Hampden Park on the 10th of May 1947. 

A series of 'Loving Cups' was initially presented to the 22 English First Division Clubs that finished the 1936-37 season in August 1937 to commemorate the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth on the 12th of May 1937. #ObjectoftheWeek #scottishfootballmuseum
