This is a programme from Scotland vs Jamaica, Women's Friendly which took place at Hampden Park on the 28th of May 2019. This was a send-off game for the Scotland Women’s National Team, who were travelling to France for the Women's World Cup. The team attracted a record attendance for a women’s football match in Scotland when 18,555 were present at Hampden Park. Before the match, several players from the country’s first women’s international in 1972 against England were finally presented with caps to mark the occasion. After years of discrimination and failure to recognise the team, the Scottish Football Association took responsibility for the women’s international team in 1998, no caps were issued. #scottishfootballmuseum
