"The Pride of Edinburgh" Hearts FC Badge

Heart of Midlothian Football Club was founded in 1874, and its name is taken from the Old Tolbooth of Edinburgh, which became a prison in 1640 and was then referred to as ‘Heart of Midlothian.’ The club crest is based on The Heart of Midlothian mosaic on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. In 1875 Hearts became members of the Scottish Football Association (SFA). They have played at their home ground Tynecastle Park since 1886. #scottishfootballmuseum #Hearts
